Shelter From The Storm. Even A Category 4 Hurricane.

Vinyl siding and fiber cement are pitted against brick again in a debris test. This time they take a 2x4 and replicate a situation where it's caught in high winds. The 2x4 is shot directly at walls made of all three building materials. The board punched right through fiber cement and vinyl siding. The speed of the board was 24mph, which is equivalent to 100 to 140mph wind speeds. However, brick withstood a 2x4 going 79mph. Which means it can withstand far higher wind speeds and the debris those winds pick up.
